Sports Luncheon Hall of Fame inductee and Super Bowl champion, Howie Long has had an extremely successful football career. During his career, he was twice chosen as Defensive Lineman of the Year and was elected to the Pro Bowl eight times. In addition, he was named to the first team of the "All Decade Team of the 80's" and in 1983, he helped lead the Los Angeles Raiders to their Super Bowl victory over the Washington Redskins. In July 2000 Long was the youngest player ever inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and is one of only seven defensive ends voted into the Hall. After playing 13 years in the NFL for the L.A. Raiders, Howie Long launched his television and film career. Currently, Long is a permanent fixture as an in-studio analyst on the Emmy Award winning FOX NFL Sunday team.
