Join MBA and state and local association leaders October 20–21 in Chicago, Ill, preceding MBA’s 93rd Annual Convention & Expo 2006 for MBA’s 2006 State & Local Workshop, where we continue to offer valuable information to increase your effectiveness, and offer you an unique opportunity to network
with peers. This workshop continues to enjoy record attendance and record state representation. And, we continue to attract
local association leadership from around the country.
This year’s focus is on the future of the industry and associations, and how to thrive in an increasingly challenging environment.
During the extended first session, entitled Survival Training, we will work together to identify obstacles to success and discuss how to strategically navigate those obstacles to ensure
your association’s future relevance and value to its members. Subsequent sessions share a similar theme, including Website Workshop, Secure Your Future with Non Dues Revenue and Economic Outlook. The perennial Legislative & Regulatory Highlights session takes place just before lunch on Friday morning and the Working Group Breakout Sessions are scheduled for Friday afternoon. Saturday morning features breakout sessions: an information exchange for executives and managers, and a lobbying workshop for volunteers.
We invite you to renew acquaintances and make new contacts at our Welcoming Reception on Friday, and enjoy the Chairman-elect Luncheon on Saturday featuring John Robbins. There also is time between sessions to network with attendees.
Attendance is recommended for state and local association managers, officers, board members, legislative counsels, lobbyists
and committee members. MBA Associate Members interested in supporting state and local association activities find this a valuable
networking opportunity.
